“Good Charlotte” frontman Joel Madden is a coach on the Australian incarnation of “The Voice.” During the singing competition’s first live performance show, he was reportedly “gesticulating wildly and slurring his speech,” prompting viewers on Twitter to wonder if he’d had a bit too much to drink before going on the air. A drunk rock star? Surely not! Joel didn’t confirm or deny his intoxication, but he did take to Twitter to congratulate himself “for not swearing on live TV tonight… I even called my mom to tell her!” If he was drunk, he deserves more congratulations for managing not to make any typos.
